The MX321TM analogue, 3-phase sensing, permanent magnet generator (PMG) powered automatic voltage regulator (AVR) provides isolation from the effects of non-linear loads, improved motor starting performance and sustained short circuit current.
Leroy Somer R449 can operate in shunt, AREP or PMG type applications. With its versatile functions the R449 is popular with LSA51.2, LSA53.1 & LSA54 Leroy Somer frames. The R449 has multiple features to enhance generator protections such as under frequency thresholds and voltage regulation with a ratio of -/+1%. For voltage matching and power factor controlling with the mains we recommend in addition to this regulator the R726
LEROY SOMER R438 is used with AREP or PMG excitation on LSA42.3, LSA43.2, LSA44.3, LSA44.2 Leroy Somer models. For shunt application we recommend the R250 or R220 which will provide you the necessary regulation control. The R438 is among one of the oldest regulators but one of the best Leroy Somer has to offer. With its regulation of -/+1.0 the R438 can hold its voltage even in the worst industry load demand conditions.
SE350 is a half-wave phase controlled thyristor type Automatic Voltage Regulator and forms part of the excitation system for a brushless generator. In addition to regulating the generator voltage, the AVR circuitry includes under speed and sensing loss protection to ensure safe, reliable control of the generator. Positive voltage build up from residual levels is ensured by the use of proficient semiconductors in the power circuitry of the AVR.
